Grant Program to Support Ukrainian Youth at International Think Tanks

What is the goal of the project?

To provide young Ukrainian professionals with the opportunity to work or intern temporarily at foreign think tanks, university research centers, civil society organizations, expert platforms, or overseas offices of Ukrainian think tanks.
The supported activities should provide practical benefits for Ukraine and contribute to one or more of the following outcomes:
• strengthening the international presence of Ukraine’s expert voice
• building long-term partnerships between Ukrainian and foreign institutions
• engaging the Ukrainian diaspora in analytical, advocacy, or reconstruction work
• developing analytical materials, events, or initiatives that explain Ukraine to an international audience
• bringing new knowledge, contacts, and professional practices back to Ukraine

Who we're looking for

We invite young Ukrainian researchers, analysts, civic leaders, communications specialists, project managers, graduate students, university graduates, and young professionals who are strongly motivated to work for the benefit of Ukraine within the international expert community.

Priority will be given to candidates who have prior experience or a well-founded professional interest in the following areas:

foreign policy and international relations;
international security and Euro-Atlantic integration;
Ukraine’s European integration;
Ukraine’s reconstruction and regional development;
democratic resilience and civil society;
work with the Ukrainian diaspora;
strategic communications and countering disinformation;
documenting the consequences of the war;
economic recovery and youth policy.

Expected results

Each participant must produce a specific outcome of their work. This could be:

an analytical paper or policy brief;
a public or closed-door expert presentation;
a series of events for the diaspora, a foreign audience, or partner organizations;
a partnership initiative between a Ukrainian and a foreign organization;
a communication campaign about Ukraine;
practical recommendations for Ukrainian organizations, government institutions, or international partners;
a plan for further cooperation between the host institution and the Ukrainian community.
Upon completion of the program, the participant must submit a brief substantive report and financial reports through the host organization and conduct at least one public or internal presentation in Ukraine to share the experience gained.
